Visit Pensacola


Appleyard Agency tasked us with interpreting and elevating two scripts intended to break the mold of Visit Pensacola campaigns past. Inspired by immersive GoPro year in review videos, Appleyard wanted to see a spot that reflected the new brand of Visit Pensacola: The Pensacola Experience. We worked to bring deeper storytelling, character motivation, and blended cinematic and documentary styled visuals to the project.

With detailed storyboards and shot lists in hand we worked with two sets of actors in locations throughout Pensacola and Pensacola Beach to capture vignettes of their stays in Pensacola. Shot on Arri Alexa and Amira with vintage Zeiss Super Speed primes, our crew worked primarily with natural light modification to produce honest visuals with a nostalgic flare. Edited and color graded by Vivid Bridge, the detailed sound design of the pieces completed the atmospheric, immersive intent of the creative.


Completed in the early stages of Vivid Bridge’s formal organization, the production was a success of creative development, execution, and production management. Broadcast nationwide, this campaign served to both break the mold of traditional Pensacola tourism campaigns as well as demonstrate the value and capabilities of local creative talent for high level production.
